The Bridgewater Turkey Trot has been a Newfound area Thanksgiving tradition for the past 32 years. No matter the weather, community members young and old have come out to support this event that helps out so many families during the Christmas holiday season. The fun run will take place on Thanksgiving morning at 9:00 a.m., starting and ending at Newfound Grocery, 408 Mayhew Turnpike Bridgewater, NH.
Register in advance during store hours at Newfound Grocery or on race day starting at 7:30 a.m. There is no set registration fee for the race, but whatever amount participants can or want to donate is gratefully accepted.
Monies raised from the trot will go toward the Santa Fund which benefits families from the Newfound Area by providing presents, clothing and food baskets on Christmas morning.
This year, in addition to the raffle tickets sold on race day for a variety of items, chance to win 100 gallons of home heating oil from Dead River Company will be available for advance purchase at Newfound Grocery for $5 each or five for $20.The more you buy the more chances you have to win and the more you’ll be giving back to your community. The raffle prize winners will be pulled following the race.
